The Pittsburgh area’s Explore the New Manufacturing student video contest – an affiliate of the What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? contest – was highlighted recently a regional public affairs television program.

The Our Region’s Business program is produced by WPXI-TV, a Pittsburgh-based NBC affiliate, and the Allegheny Conference on Community Development. Petra Mitchell, President and CEO of the Catalyst Connection, appeared on the program with manufacturing executives in June to discuss industry workforce trends.

The Catalyst Connection produces the Explore the New Manufacturing contests in the Pittsburgh area. The contests include website voting hosted on the What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? digital platform.
